Facts vs. Hype ... Nate Silver is King
Nate Silver called it. He read the media hype and pundit platitudes for what it was, just the media trying to manipulate the public's attention/emotion. Great for ratings, not so good for looking at things clearly.
Listening to the media and the incessant polls for this election nearly made me a nervous wreck. Through the insanity of the press/media, Nate Silver was singular consistent, rational voice of reason. Of course, Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert were also quite excellent in making it all enjoyable and educational.
