Did you know he was quite the designer as well? He designed
the Queen Alien
for his Alien movie as well as
the Hunter-Killer
machines in Terminator.

For Avatar he hired Neville Page, whose background is ID from Art Center (of course) and who has some instructional dvd's at the gnomon workshop.
